Respect Life Committee

God’s infinite love for each one of us gives dignity and worth to every human life from conception to Natural Death. We do not support Assisted Suicide because, as responsible stewards of life, we must never directly intend to cause our own death or that of anyone else.

As Saint John Paul II said pain management and other supportive care is “the way of love and true mercy” that we should offer to all dying patients, instead of offering to assist their suicides. In States where Assisted Suicide’s is legal, Insurance Companies have been known to refuse to pay for expensive treatments for those considered terminally ill, while offering to pay for their Assisted Suicide. This is just one of the possible abuses.

For more information visit www.usccb.org/to live each day. Please pray for the Respect of all Life, and oppose the New Jersey Death with Dignity Act.

Our next OLPH-SA Respect Life Ministry Meeting will be held on Thursday November 2 at 7 p.m. in the OLPH Church Basement Meeting Room. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR LIFE
